Aurel Kostelić, unfortunately, left us too soon in 1996. He died at the age of 64.
Aurel Kostelić ( Otočac, 1933 - Zagreb, 1996) graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb, where he received his MSc degree in 1973 and PhD in 1975. He was employed at FSB since 1973 , and the become full professor in 1986. He was involved in the application of computer technology in mechanical engineering and as the head of the Chair of Machine Elements and Design (since 1983) introduced several courses: Application of Computers, Computer-aided design , Theory of Products. He published several scientific papers and textbook Thermodynamics (1965 ). He won the National Award for scientific work "Nikola Tesla" (1993).
